Strawberry Jam Muffins

Join Horace, measure, mix, pour and bake something yummy.

You will need a muffin baking tin and some paper muffin cases

Ingredients to get ready:

100 g softened butter

200 g or 7 oz sugar

150 ml plain yogurt

275 g or 9 1/2 oz self raising flour OR plain flour with 1 tsp baking powder added (best disolved in a little water first)

2 large Tbl spoons of scrummy strawberry jam

175g or 6 oz of white chocolate chopped into chunks(optional).

Turn the oven on to 190°C / 375°F

Now follow the pictures

 1.Cream butter and sugar together

4502. Add a sprinkling of flour and add the eggs with the yogurt.

(the flour prevents the mixture from curdling)

4513. Stir in the flour well. If the mixture feels a bit stiff add a little milk.

4. Now add the jam and choc chunks if using.
453 Spoon into the muffin cups and put in the oven for 20 minutes or until just turning brown.

454Allow to cool on a wire rack……if you can wait that long!457
